Elizabeth Keefner is our December Artist of the Month!
Elizabeth has been active in the arts in one form or another since she was a child. She focused on fiber arts for many years but in the past six years has rediscovered her love of drawing and painting. She has recently started showing her art at local venues like the San Luis Coffee Shop and has shown her art at Milagros and the Spanish Arts Council in La Veta.
Her first love was painting with watercolors and inspired by artists like James Gurney, has branched out into oils and acrylics. Most recently Elizabeth started to teach herself small printmaking techniques and has tried her hand at linocut prints. One of her favorite things to do in her art practice is to collaborate with her boys, where they draw a picture and Elizabeth takes those sketches and creates a finished piece of art.
